Soke Irving Soto is a winner of numerous world championships

And the last person to be taught atemi- jujitsu aiki-jujitsu, he has

I was born in Bronx in 1954, 1956 my mother moved to Brooklyn,

New York at the age of 2 years old. One of my first professors that

I trained with a Japanese man called Tashioshi, he taught in jujitsu.

I received my first-degree black belt at the age of 11-year-old.

Through Tashioshi I went to Japan I fought the internationals of 16 years old.

I became the open champion. Tashioshi moved away in the early 1970’s,

I continued my thirst for martial arts science knowledge of jujitsu.
I continued to further my instructions with a group of masters

from the neighborhoods of Brooklyn New York City. In 1973

I was invited by the Japanese association to compete in the

open kumite championship in Japan upon winning the championship 1973.

I was invited to the humble dojo of koshimitsu Yamamoto and to

compete in the open kumite after winning kumite championship.

I was asked to be under the guidance of Yamamoto to further my

instructions in the advance technique atemi aiki-jujitsu.

I continued to further my instruction by traveling back and

forth from Japan and USA. In 1990 I receive my 10th degree

black belt in Atemi -Aiki jujitsu upon my teacher death I

was awarded full sokeship to continue the work.

I won the kumite for 8 years and for 8- times from the

of 1973,1974,1975,1976,1977,1978,1979,1980  World kumite champion.

Brief outline of Rocci R. Twitchell:

Rocci R. Twitchell has been teaching and studying the martial arts

for 28 years. Rocci boxed competitively for 8 years with the United

States Amateur Boxing Federation and currently is a licensed Boxing

Instructor in the same organization.  The current boxing program

Rocci has been a dedicated student and teacher and has trained with many well

known and legendary instructors notably 2 of Bruce Lee’s top students, Danny

Inosanto and Larry Hartsell. Danny Inosanto is the Head Instructor of the

Inosanto Academy based in Los Angeles, California and teaches nationally

and world wide on a yearly basis. Rocci attends an annual 10 hour Seminar

conducted by Danny Inosanto. The 10 hour Seminar in Stockton,

California features weapons training in Filipino/ Indonesian

combative arts. Dan Inosanto considers Rocci Twitchell a “Grandson”

within his martial arts system. Rocci is also a representative of the

Association of Pencak Silat America and holds the title of Guru and is

also a representative of the Nepal Pencak Silat Association, Katmandu,

Nepal. Rocci is also an Apprentice Instructor under Larry Hartsell the

founder and Chief Instructor of the Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association.

Within the Jeet Kune Do family Rocci has been an Apprentice Instructor

under Burton Richardson of Jeet Kune Do Concepts located in Hawaii.

Currently Rocci is a 3^rd level student under Carlito Bonjoc of Mata Sa Bagyo,

located in Stockton California.  Guro Carlito Bonjoc is a weapons expert in

Filipino martial arts. Rocci also trains with 2 other Filipino weapons instructors

in Stockton, California, as often as his schedule permits. Rocci has also had the

opportunity to train with Rick Faye of the Minnesota Kali Group, for over 9 years.

Rick Faye is a tactical knife and weapons expert where Rocci has gained most of

his weapons knowledge and skills. Both instructors Rick Faye and Rocci Twitchell

maintain contact on a monthly basis with one another for instructional and

training purposes. Rocci is currently a 4^th degree Black Belt and Chief Full

Instructor and Inheritor of  Rough & Tumble Fighting Methods under Shane

Milone’ of Cedar Ridge, California. Rocci currently teaches MMA and has

4 active students that fight in cage tournaments on a regular basis.
